HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hoping that everyone enjoyed the celebrations last night and am sending best wishes for a happy and healthy 2012.

We had a quiet night in, watched the fireworks on BBC and had a little tipple!  Then we wished the kiddlets a happy new year whilst they slept and then resumed watching the tele - just like any other night - lol!

Despite my intentions of keeping up with my blog, I think it may well become a weekly, rather than daily occurence!  Back to school on Tuesday so spending today clearing out some of the old toys to make room for the new and having a blitz in the dining room - wish me luck, I could be gone some time!

Phew!

At last, the Christmas cards are finished!  Last job coming up - pressies out of the garage and into sacks, stockings and under the tree - hope there's enough room!

Delish fridge cake!

Recipe:

230g Dairy Milk
4 tbsp Golden Syrup
125g butter

In a glass bowl, melt over a pan of boiling water.

In another bowl put whatever you fancy!  We added Marshmallows/ Broken Digestive biscuits/ Raisins/ Dark Choc drops/ Maltesers & White Choc Buttons. 

Of course, you could make it much healthier by adding fruit (ahem...!) like chopped apricots etc.  but it is Christmas!

When mixture has melted, let it cool for a little while so it doesn't melt everything else - then stir in.  Put the lot in a shallow tin and press down with a masher to compact it.  Refrigerate for an hour then take out to cut into squares.  Replace in fridge to completely harden (had to test a piece before it went back in!)

What a faff!

Well, after a lot of faffing about, I think I might like this design!  Thank you to dc'ers who have helped a blogger who has completely forgotten what to do!

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve!  All the pressies are wrapped, bar the chocolate fridge cake which we have just made, just needs to be cooled, chopped and boxed up...... the bad news is, I still have three cards to make - eeekk!  I have the images, just not in the mood!  Best get revved up.......catch up later.

Life change!!

Just a quick post to update my profile! I've been in my new job for 4 weeks now but it feels like I've been there forever! Not sure if that's a good thing or not! I'd forgotten what hard work it is with a full time job, 2 ickle children and a hubby on shift work! It's been assessment week and I have a shed load of marking to do this weekend. Not gonna be crafting much, and I've got new toys to play with!!!
