Exciting news!

I go to a lovely lady to have my nails done and we were chatting over a manicure, as you do, and she offered to have a basket of my cards in her log cabin to sell for me!  Blimey, oh riley!  So exciting - although now I've got to get some made - lol!  I usually only make cards to order and have very specific instructions like occasion, colour scheme, name etc., so this might be quite tricky, but I'm determined to give it a go!  With half term only a couple of weeks away, I'm hoping I might get some time to get crafty!

Doesn't time fly?!

Well, the weeks are flying by!  Well and truly settled back into school and I don't where the days are going!  Not having much time to craft but seem to work best under pressure so am making cards the night before they're needed - so here are my latest "night before they're needed" cards!

Well, if you are a dc'er, you'll already know, but my brother and sister-in-law welcomed a new life into the world yesterday - she is called Polly Rose, weighed 7lb 3oz and is beautiful!  Here is a piccie of my first cuddle with my niece (tee hee!)

Well, after my promises of keeping up in blog land, it hasn't happened! So, I think we'll call it an 'Every 6 weeks (ish) blog update'! In other words, when school breaks up for a holiday! I am adding a few cards done over the last few weeks, and need to get cracking with a couple more - Phil's valentine and Jess's birthday which is on Valentine's day!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

Hoping that everyone enjoyed the celebrations last night and am sending best wishes for a happy and healthy 2012.

We had a quiet night in, watched the fireworks on BBC and had a little tipple!  Then we wished the kiddlets a happy new year whilst they slept and then resumed watching the tele - just like any other night - lol!

Despite my intentions of keeping up with my blog, I think it may well become a weekly, rather than daily occurence!  Back to school on Tuesday so spending today clearing out some of the old toys to make room for the new and having a blitz in the dining room - wish me luck, I could be gone some time!

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Phew!

At last, the Christmas cards are finished!  Last job coming up - pressies out of the garage and into sacks, stockings and under the tree - hope there's enough room!

Delish fridge cake!

Recipe:

230g Dairy Milk
4 tbsp Golden Syrup
125g butter

In a glass bowl, melt over a pan of boiling water.

In another bowl put whatever you fancy!  We added Marshmallows/ Broken Digestive biscuits/ Raisins/ Dark Choc drops/ Maltesers & White Choc Buttons. 

Of course, you could make it much healthier by adding fruit (ahem...!) like chopped apricots etc.  but it is Christmas!

When mixture has melted, let it cool for a little while so it doesn't melt everything else - then stir in.  Put the lot in a shallow tin and press down with a masher to compact it.  Refrigerate for an hour then take out to cut into squares.  Replace in fridge to completely harden (had to test a piece before it went back in!)

What a faff!

Well, after a lot of faffing about, I think I might like this design!  Thank you to dc'ers who have helped a blogger who has completely forgotten what to do!

I can't believe it's Christmas Eve!  All the pressies are wrapped, bar the chocolate fridge cake which we have just made, just needs to be cooled, chopped and boxed up...... the bad news is, I still have three cards to make - eeekk!  I have the images, just not in the mood!  Best get revved up.......catch up later.

Hello, I'm back to the world of Blog! Not sure how often I'll update but I need somewhere to showcase my cards. I have left the world of Facebook - my life was being overtaken by it - but still want somewhere that people can view my cards if they want to commission one for me to make.
