Thank you for visiting my blog. I make Handcrafted cards to order, adding that personal touch in an otherwise impersonal world.

Female 60th birthday

Hiya Peeps - a gorgeous day here in Essex and I realised I didn't upload this one in the week.  It's a commission for the same lady that asked me to do the baby card (nearly forgetting it was her sister's birthday!)

Long time, no blog!

I'm such a bad blogger (and card maker!)

I've not uploaded anything for ages and ages as I haven't made anything for ages and ages!  I was asked to make a birth card last week so here it is!  Not spending long on computer as it's a beautiful day out there and I'm going to enjoy the sunshine!

My friend's 40th!

Hi all,

I can't believe that friends are beginning to turn 40 - eek!  That means it won't be long till it's my turn - la, la, la!!

Here is the card I made for her - a blue version of the 30th I made a wee while ago.

The hardest card...

With the news of my friend's dad passing away, I wanted a thinking of you as opposed to a sombre, sympathy card.  I remembered I had this digi from www.digistampboutique.co.uk so went ahead and made this, this afternoon.  RIP

Our Anniversary Today!

Well, this time 12 years ago, Phil and I were about to become man and wife!  As he is a bit of a computer geek I made him this card with a custom QR code on it!  In case you don't know, there is an app on the iphone which you scan these codes with and they bring up a message / photo or take you to a website for further info, and you usually see them in magazines or shops.  Anyway, I found out that you can build your own for free, using a website, (http://www.unitaglive.com/qrcode) where you type your message and it creates the code.  You can then customise it with different shapes and colours before printing it.  I chose gold and silver to go with my new gilding flakes that I coated the card heart with (had to test it a couple of times to make sure it worked - it was too light the first time).  Added some card candi and a ribbon, et voila!

Another Pearl Wedding!

Another anniversary, another commission!
Die cut, gilding flakes, sticky back pearls,
computer generated wording.

I used my new toy - a new die and gilding flakes - fun but messy!
I watched a demo at busysharon's shop and found myself spending lots of money - lol!
This is my first attempt so I hope she will be impressed!

Thank you cards!

I can't believe another year is over and thank you cards were made!  The children and I made cards - for their teachers, child-minder, and for my TA at school - one from me and one from the class.

Thanks for looking

Gorgeous Sunday!

Hiya peeps,

Well it's a gorgeous day here in Essex so I got up early and did some of the dreaded housework, then set about making a couple of commissions before my craft room got too hot as it's the conservatory and gets stifling from about 1pm onwards.  I made a baby birth and a 30th birthday card - 2 commissions for friends at school.

Bambino image, Love Letters bp, computer generated wording,
Papermania flowers.

Silver mirri, pink bazzill, silver ribbon,
new stamp from Woodware.
